| Diabetes Tracker SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.... |
| The Diabetes Tracker system requires an
Intel-based personal computer, running either Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Windows for
Workgroups, version 3.1 or greater, or Microsoft Windows 95, with approximately 10MB of
hard disk space available. If you are running Windows 3.1, you should have at least 8MB of memory (RAM) installed in your 386, or better, computer. In general, it is recommended that you have at least 16MB of memory installed to take full advantage of the features of Windows 3.1. If you are running Windows 95, you should have at least 16MB of memory (RAM) installed in your 486, or better, computer. In general, it is recommended that you have at least 24MB of memory installed to take advantage of the features of Windows 95. There are currently two brands of home blood glucose meters that allow you to automatically download data to your computer. These are the One Touch II and One Touch Profile from Lifescan. You will require the appropriate data cable (sold separately) to connect the meter to an available serial interface on your computer. Please check this site for more information about support for other meters, including the Precision Q.I.D from MediSense. If your meter is not one of the supported meters listed above, Diabetes Tracker allows you to manually input your data. |
